Department of Comics
The Comics Department provides a student with a strong, well-balanced background in the literature, history and artistry of comic books. As a Comics student, studies include comic book history, culture, literature, and art design. Students are also required to take courses in English, foreign language and history. Independent study and internships provide opportunities for experiential learning and working closely with the faculty, sometimes leading to authorship of original publications.
CLA 203. Classical Mythology. 3 Hours
An introduction to the principal cycles of Greek and Roman mythology, with emphasis on the influence of classical mythology upon the literature and art of the Western world.
CLA 350. Classical Literature in Translation. 3 Hours
Course to acquaint students not majoring or minoring in classical languages with Latin and Greek authors and literary movements. Conducted in English. Repeatable when subtitle and content change.
